Clarity

There are two ways to fight panic - talking and working. It isn't always easy to find work that will keep the mind occupied for as long as it takes while yielding a return on the hours put in, and it stands to question how much and for how long conversation can help quell a rising tide of despair. When does one need more than a sounding board, an assurance of reaction and response?

How is a symbiosis with reality gained? Through losing yourself in a haze of smoke so the next time you see clarity, you know it? Refusing to see for days on end, only to see that much more when you do? Behind which cloud does clarity hide and mock me when I most need it?
