A Temporary Rift in Time

A disagreement with a friend or loved one is hard work. It's easy enough to feel wronged or bewildered, but not as straightforward to continue to do so - at some point, reason kicks in and tries to politely inform us that most quarrels are a result of intentions getting lost in translation. Often, without even realizing it, one usually expends an inordinate amount of mental energy in order to hold on to feelings of hurt - energy spent in shushing the voice that says that in the long run, intentions always matter more than their realization. That being said, for the positive energy of intentions to matter, they must be allowed to express themselves in natural ways - the second one starts instructing one's good intentions how to behave, they lose their authenticity, their warmth, their goodness. I have often seen people doing this - instructing their intentions how to behave. It always has a ring of contrivance to it, which is a shame because the intentions are always good.

When we find ourselves inadvertently expecting or instructing the positive energy in the world to create good moments for us, it may be best to take a step back and try to direct it, converse with it and trust that it loves us and always wants good things for us.
