Memories from the past growing bolder now
Their colours changing in the dancing sunlight
Mostly blue, sometimes pink
No place for the future now
Glimpses of the future hazier now
Staring at the ceiling, I lie on my bed
Without a song in my head
Or a thought on my mind
Disconnected words, vague nothings
Flotsam in a sea of jellylike despair
Nothing left now but the rind
You've squeezed me dry.
